The Cottages

Our six stone cottages nestle in the valley at the end of a private lane. They have been sympathetically renovated from farm buildings and are individually decorated and furnished. There are thick stone walls, exposed beams and recessed windows, feature fireplaces, slate, wood or ceramic flooring, providing a homely setting all year round.

Outside, the cottages have individual private gardens with lawns, hedges and stone walls, flower and shrub borders, hanging baskets and herb pots, gravel paths and patios, garden furniture, and lovely views of the surrounding valley.

All the cottages have colour TVs, DVD players, sofas, coffee tables, magazines, books and games, central heating, or night storage heating with supplementary heating.
The kitchens are fully fitted and have a fridge with freezer compartment, a microwave and electric built-in oven and hob. Willows also has a dishwasher and fridge-freezer.
The bathrooms have a bath with shower over, washbasin, WC and heater.

Towels are provided only in Honeysuckle and The Owlery. However towels can be provided for our overseas visitors on request.

A 25% discount on golf and leisure facilities at the Dartmouth Golf & Country Club (4 miles) is available to all of our guests.
In the laundry room there is a commercial washing machine and tumble dryer for guests' use.
There is large parking area.
Brochures and information on the locality are provided in each cottage, and maps, walking books and wildlife guides may be borrowed.
Broadband: We now have Broadband connectivity in some of the cottages. Please enquire about this when booking.
No Smoking Policy
In consideration of other visitors we ask that guests do not smoke inside the cottages.

Dittiscombe Holiday Cottages is managed with a keen awareness for the environment and the sustainability of tourism in our area of outstanding natural beauty. We use energy and water-saving measures in the cottages, provide full recycling facilities for guests, encourage visitors to leave the car and walk to our local village, and manage and conserve diverse habitats for the local wildlife within the valley. For these and other measures we have been awarded a GOLD level in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
