Map & Directions to Dittiscombe

Directions: from Totnes: take the A381 towards Kingsbridge. Continue through the villages of Harbertonford and Halwell and past the Totnes Cross Filling Station. About 1 mile after this turn left into the lane signposted Slapton and East Allington (the turning is on a sharp right-hand bend in the main road). Go down this road for approximately 3.3 miles then turn right signposted Dittiscombe.  After approximately 1.3 miles you will see on the right a sign for the Dittiscombe Equestrian Centre with wooden fencing and a private lane. Turn right here and with the horse stables and cream bungalow on your left continue down this private lane and the farmhouse will be found at the bottom by the gravel car park. 

Please call at the farmhouse for your keys and to be shown into your cottage.

Directions from Slapton: look for the signpost for Totnes (11 miles) in the centre of the village and with this on your left go past the Queens Arms pub on your left. Continue up the hill straight out of the village, ignoring several turnings left and right until you see the sign for ‘Gara Mill’ on the right.  Do not take this turn but continue straight on for another ½ mile and you will see the signpost for Dittiscombe on the left.  Take this left turn and after approximately 1.3 miles you will see on the right a sign for the Dittiscombe Equestrian Centre with wooden fencing and a private lane. Turn right here and with the horse stables and cream bungalow on your left continue down this private lane and the farmhouse will be found at the bottom by the gravel car park. 

If you need to buy groceries en-route, instead of taking the A381 at Totnes go towards Totnes Town Centre and a Morrisons store is on your left. When leaving Morrisons, retrace your route to the traffic lights and filter left on to the A381 for Kingsbridge. Alternatively, the Harberton Filling Station, on the A381, stocks some perishables.
